Sew a stylish and simple to make Kimono-style wrap dress.
Play with the length - you can shorten to make a sweet top, or lengthen for a stunning dress.
The Kimono can be casual or formal, depending on your fabric choice – and perfect for any season, depending how you layer underneath.
The fabulous Simple Sew Pattern is included (£10) so you can make this flattering and stylish dress over and over…
This project is suitable for beginners, and fits from size 8-20
Suggested fabrics include: cotton, lightweight linen, tana lawn, silk, crepe, crepe backed satin. Go crazy with lace and chiffon for an evening version if you have some sewing experience. Chose woven fabrics rather than jersey. If you are a true beginner stay away from very fluid satins and crepe – they have a life of their own!
The pattern is simply styled, so your fabric choice can be as subtle or as wild as you want!
Once you have booked your space, I can advise fabric quantities should you want to make a much longer or shorter version of the dress shown.
45” wide fabric – 4.3m - all sizes
60” wide fabric – 2.7m – all sizes
